Seriously....Who Does This?

OK, so I'm not referring to this.......
This looks pretty heavenly. I'm referring to this.....

Who runs around in the snow in their swimsuits?? My crazy kids! They would soak in the hot tub and then run around the house, which was actually pretty good for them so that their body temperature would not get too high. (My mom would say they would catch a cold doing that!..but sorry people, colds come from germs...ask Dr. OZ or any other doctor)
We were invited over to Dan and Cyndee Ford's home to watch the AL vs. LSU game with other church friends and they were just too sweet to not only invite our kids, but tell our kids to invite a friend. So they each did and this was a first for them, being in a hot tub with snow all around. They loved it!
This is Landon and his best friend Max....
Mike and Dan....look at the view out the glass door
We really miss game day parties so we had a blast with everyone who was truly pulling for OUR TEAM (which is unusual to find in Colorado). As proof, when we finally got a score on the board, our USC and Georgia fans had this planned.....
Thanks Doug, Connie, and Hollie! You were great cheerleaders!

Haven's 6th Birthday Party

Yesterday we celebrated Haven's 6th birthday with a Doggie Party that was originally planned to be at Eagle Park, but unfortunately, it looked like this outside......
So we had to move it to the church. But we had a great time....first we started with a little face painting....
Cutest little doggies I've ever seen!
Her friends at the party were Isabelle, Brady, Michelle, Maddie, Tommie, Alaina, and Abi
We played musical chairs, Pin the Paw on the Puppy....
Went on a hunt for doggie treats....
Played Red Rover....
Played Doggie, Doggie, who's got your bone....

Ate some really cute doggie cake that Mrs. Joy Brooks made....
Opened presents......
Pretended to faint in gratitude after opening each present........
(Thanks to her friends for catching her!)

And ended with a Pinata (couldn't find a dog one and it was too late to order one online)
And it was a great little party! Thank you for your presents and presence at Haven's special day!
Her little buddy Brady made it special for her by coming to church and spending all day with her. I just had to post his picture because I thought it was so adorable!

EEKKK...Braces!

Before.....
After...

She's SIX!

This precious little blessing turned 6 years old today! Wish somehow I could slow time down, try to cherish every day but no matter what I do, my kids keep growing! I am so blessed to be Haven's mother and my prayer for her on this 6th birthday, is that her life will be joy-filled due to following the teachings of Jesus Christ. I love you Haven Ann!

Granny

Last Friday, Landon's class had a costume contest. He kept quiet about his costume and surprised everyone as he showed up as "Granny"!

And of course, our little tomboy wouldn't dress up as a princess, fairy, or even cat woman...she had to be a pirate!
And yes, she has fractured her collerbone/clavicle again. She fell while running on the playground one day at school and fell on her shoulder. This makes 4 bone fractures and one busted chin with stitches in 3 years.
When Landon got home from school the day he wore his Granny costume, he started tearing off everything and said "I have never been so glad to be a boy!". So at the school Harvest Carnival, he wanted to wear the banana costume (that Mason had got gotten and then wouldn't wear)

And he wore his pajama bottoms so he was "Banana in Pajamas", a cartoon that was out when Mason was little. Much more comfy than a wig, panty hose, and a skirt!

Haven's First Field Trip

Wednesday, Haven went on her first field trip ever to Southerland Farms Pumpkin Patch outside of Aztec, New Mexico. I was honored to go along with her and get to ride the bus for a little fall fun!
Here is her whole class.......
(She's over to the left in a green shirt)

We got to go through a corn maze.....
(that's her all the way in the back with both arms raised up to the sky..."Hallelujah, we found the exit")
We got to pick a small pumpkin......
And Haven chooses a white one......
(who wants to follow the crowd, right?)
On the hayride.........
Our friends Kyle and Maddie who just moved back to the area from Denver made our day a little more fun!
Riding the barrel train with Ethan....
With friends Isabella, Michelle, and Tristan.....
(Aren't they sooo cute!)
Milking a cow.....
Posing for pics.....
Playing on the corn playground.....
Making "Corn Angels"......(this was a first!)
Fun in the corn pit!
It was a gorgeous day and was filled with fun!
HAPPY FALL YA'LL!

Great Visits!

We had great visits from Mike's cousin Jackie Hayes and his parents, Kaye and Hershel. Mike spent time with Jackie on the golf course, took him to see the fall leaves on the drive to Ouray, and went 4 wheeler riding up Middle Mt. All of that was done without me.. so sorry, I only made one picture of Jackie's time here.....
Jackie left on Monday morning, and Kaye and Hershel arrived around lunch time. They had a beautiful day on Monday but the rest of the week was cloudy, rainy, snowy, and cold. But that didn't stop up from seeing the beautiful fall aspens....
This is on our ride up Middle Mt. (close to our house)

While here, they got to see Mason play a pretty awesome game, watch Landon practice football, attend Haven's award ceremony, and see her at gymnastics...
One day we took them on the drive to Creede, CO, in search of fall foliage....

And at the top of Wolf Creek Pass, on our way to Creede, we found some white stuff......
Kaye was super excited to see the snow! Thank you Jackie, Pop, and Mama Kaye for flying out to see us and spend some time with us. We had a wonderful visit and can't wait to see you again at Christmas!
