Haven's First Field Trip

Wednesday, Haven went on her first field trip ever to Southerland Farms Pumpkin Patch outside of Aztec, New Mexico. I was honored to go along with her and get to ride the bus for a little fall fun!
Here is her whole class.......
(She's over to the left in a green shirt)

We got to go through a corn maze.....
(that's her all the way in the back with both arms raised up to the sky..."Hallelujah, we found the exit")
We got to pick a small pumpkin......
And Haven chooses a white one......
(who wants to follow the crowd, right?)
On the hayride.........
Our friends Kyle and Maddie who just moved back to the area from Denver made our day a little more fun!
Riding the barrel train with Ethan....
With friends Isabella, Michelle, and Tristan.....
(Aren't they sooo cute!)
Milking a cow.....
Posing for pics.....
Playing on the corn playground.....
Making "Corn Angels"......(this was a first!)
Fun in the corn pit!
It was a gorgeous day and was filled with fun!
HAPPY FALL YA'LL!

Great Visits!

We had great visits from Mike's cousin Jackie Hayes and his parents, Kaye and Hershel. Mike spent time with Jackie on the golf course, took him to see the fall leaves on the drive to Ouray, and went 4 wheeler riding up Middle Mt. All of that was done without me.. so sorry, I only made one picture of Jackie's time here.....
Jackie left on Monday morning, and Kaye and Hershel arrived around lunch time. They had a beautiful day on Monday but the rest of the week was cloudy, rainy, snowy, and cold. But that didn't stop up from seeing the beautiful fall aspens....
This is on our ride up Middle Mt. (close to our house)

While here, they got to see Mason play a pretty awesome game, watch Landon practice football, attend Haven's award ceremony, and see her at gymnastics...
One day we took them on the drive to Creede, CO, in search of fall foliage....

And at the top of Wolf Creek Pass, on our way to Creede, we found some white stuff......
Kaye was super excited to see the snow! Thank you Jackie, Pop, and Mama Kaye for flying out to see us and spend some time with us. We had a wonderful visit and can't wait to see you again at Christmas!

8th Grade Football

Mason's 8th grade season of Bayfield Middle School ball will be over tomorrow. They've had a great season and have only lost one game out of 6. Tomorrow he plays in the championship game against Escalante, the one team that beat them this season.
Mason has had another great season, although he did not get to play much in the area that we felt could help the team the most. At Wednesday's play off game, he got to play fullback the whole game and scored all 3 touchdown's made, one of which was a defensive TD! He also kicks for the team and has had some really great kick offs. Here are pictures from Wednesday's game....He is #22 (The tallest one you see right there...)

Here he is carrying the ball and you can only see his helmet, if you look at the referree, you'll see it
He is on the ground here, fixing to recover a fumble
He's on the far left, trying to block this punt.....
Landon, his best friend Max, and Haven at the game.....
This game was dedicated to the memory of his classmate, Shaniah Farmer who died last March in a car accident. If you'll look at the back of his helmet, you'll see a round sticker with the letters "SF" on them. The pink duct tape wrapped around their shoes was also for Shaniah, along with breast cancer awareness...
Mason's friend Noah wore his Shaniah sweatshirt....
So happy Pop and Mama Kaye got to see this awesome game!
Both Mason and Landon play their play off game tomorrow at 11am in two separate towns. This makes me sad because we will be split up and missing a game. The joys of having two athletes!

Citizen of the Month-Responsibility

Haven was awared Citizen of the Month with the characteristic of Responsibility!! They honored her and all the other recipients with a breakfast on Tuesday morning.....
I was one proud mama!!
One of her friends, Jessica, got it in her classroom
And we were pretty thrilled that Pop and Mama Kaye were here for her special day!
Oh and here's Landon's picture on the Student Council bulletin board at the school.....

Haven just loves school. She comes home from school, gets out her paper and pencil, and spends at least an hour everyday, writing her letters and numbers. We are so proud of you Haven!!!
