Updates

Well our laptop is down and we are unable to post any pictures because all the pictures are downloaded to the laptop. The charging cord is not working properly so we'll have to replace it. In the meantime, I thought I would update everyone on what all has been going on this week.....
As of Monday, we became official landlords. For those of you who may not know, our house was under contract and we were suppose to close by September 30th. On Sept. 25th, we get an email from our realtor saying that the lady has backed out of the contract. Devastated but still realizing that God is in control, I couldn't understand why God had provided us with the money needed to get out of our mortgage with this offer, and then the offer fell through??? Again, His ways are not ours. The very next day, my friend from Cullman called and said that a lady had contacted her and told her to give us her name and number, for us to call her if our contract fell through, that she wanted our house........WOW! God provided AGAIN!! HE IS FAITHFUL!!!
So because of some financial issues with this family, they have signed a lease to own option and will purchase our home within the next 3 years. Meanwhile, they will make our house payment as well as make improvements to the house as needed. PRAISE GOD!
Mason's 6th grade YAFL Football team finished regular season undefeated at 8-0. They went into play-offs this Saturday ranked #1 and after a very stressful, nail-biting game....they pulled another win and beat Cortez 28-13!! Mason kicked another field goal and I got this one on tape but can't post it until the laptop is running. It is so exciting!! We go to the 2nd round next week in Bloomfield and if we win that one, it's on to the SuperBowl in Farmington. From there, we could possibly go to "State" in Albuqurque, NM. Why is state in NM? Because we play in the Four Corners league and it's closer for us than Denver.
Landon was out of school Friday but Mason was not.....It's kind of wierd here how not all school inservices applies to all schools. Instead of having county and city school systems, each town has their own school system and superintendent.....so you would think that their days off would all be the same. Apparently the elementary school does not have to go to school as many days per year as the middle and high school because they get out a lot more.....strange! Tomorrow they are both out so we are taking our first family hike.
We were very sad to miss the wedding of our nephew Brent Lawson and Hannah Pate on Saturday. We heard that every thing went well and it was a beautiful wedding. CONGRATULATIONS BRENT AND HANNAH!! WE'RE VERY HAPPY FOR YOU!! Also, we are going to be a great uncle and aunt because Brent's sister Kayci and her husband Jamie are expecting!! CONGRATULATIONS KAYCI AND JAMIE!!
