Summer Updates

Wow! It's been a while since I have had the chance (or desire) to update this blog but my mom keeps asking for pics so here we go..............

Life has been incredibly busy the past month. I have been blessed with lots of cabins/houses to clean (cha-ching!) and am working a steady 15 hours a week on the computer with Derrico Computers. Mason's baseball season ended in July....the team he played with all summer came up short at the state tournament, although Mason pitched the best game he has ever played that last game. They took him out after 90 pitches in the 6th inning, and in the 7th inning, the other team came back and beat us! A travel team from Farmington, New Mexico asked him to play with them for the regional tournament so for 2 weeks, he practiced with them and played the regional tournament. They came in 3rd out of 13 teams and again, that team from Dallas, TX won it. So baseball is officially over and our team celebrated at the park with a BBQ (what we in the south call a cook-out).

Then, I had a little birthday on July 27th.....
Haven placed those candles (by the way)
And we celebrated by going to play putt-putt golf in Durango.

This was Haven's first time to ever play!

On top of this, vacation bible school started so every Tuesday for the past 5 weeks we have doing VBS for the children, and every Sunday night, for the teens. We had 30 kids the first 3 weeks and 20 or so the last two weeks and had a wonderful time together, learning who Jesus is, how He forgives, what all He can do for us, and all He needs us to do for Him! Here are some pics of our time together......

Our last day, we made a huge slip-n-slide and it was a blast!

Mason helping out with a water balloon game!

Yesterday at church, some of the kids shared bible verses and songs with the congregation along with a slide show of our fun and a puppet show by Landon. We started VBS with a puppet named Zeke and a girl from Arizona did it for us. She left after the 3rd week so Landon ordered himself a puppet and took over! He ordered a pirate so Zeke witnessed to him and he accepted Christ and changed from his evil ways during the process of VBS. His name is Captain Jack Hawk. As much as I hate to see myself on video, here is the clip from yesterday....this is for you NANA!

This next one of the song they did and Haven is all the way to the left....

And lastly, and very proudly, this little wolverine has been keeping us busy with football!
Go Landon!!! His first game is Saturday!! Can't wait!
