Day 3 with the Richardsons

On Monday, we wanted to take the family up the "Million Dollar Highway" to see some of the beautiful scenic views of southwestern Colorado. We visited Honeyville (bought peanut brittle, of course) and once we got past the ski resort, our van started running hot..sooooooooo
We turned around and headed back to Durango for a little shopping and lunch at Old Timer's Cafe.....

We also visited Rocky Mt. Chocolate Factory...all the same places we've taken all our other visitors!! They have these gormet caramel apples that are out of this world!!
So Mike couldn't find anyone to look at our van while we were in town because they were all busy so he took the van home and came back with our car (we believe the thermostat needs replacing). So we headed back up and made our first stop, here at Molas Pass

So gorgeous! We then drove into Silverton and Ouray to show them these 2 cute little towns, nestled in the valley of some mountains. My friend Sandi went there this weekend and captured this awesome shot of Ouray below. Look for the town at the bottom of the mt's
