Still busy.....

To pick up from my last entry.....yesterday we went to Mason's track and field day. Mason has always been competitive but because of his weight, he hasn't been that great of a runner. He had already declared that he would be coming home with 1st place ribbons in all his events and of course, knowing some of his very small friends who are very fast, I was very skeptical about what he could achieve. Here's Mason at the end of the day....
Yes, that is 2 blue 1st place ribbons, one 2nd place ribbon, and one 3rd place ribbon! And everyone was coming up to me saying how fast Mason was!! His 1st place ribbon was in shot put and in the 4 x 100 relay....plus his class was the overall winners for the whole day! He as very happy about the results of the day. Here are more pictures of him in action.....
The 50 meter dash......
The Long Jump........
Class tug-of-war.......(See Mr. Foster behind them coaching them on!)
Here's Mason with his best buddy (from here) Chance....
After field day, Mason had a ballgame in Durango and Landon had a sleep over at the school. Although he had a little batting slump in the game, the team pulled through and won 15-7!! Two 2nd grade classes had a sleep over at the school last night and I asked Landon's teacher if she had lost her mind!! (Both teachers are new to the school this year!) They had a cook out, played games on the playground and ended the night with a movie. Landon had an awesome time and remember when we first moved, me saying that tetherball was popular here and Landon hated it? Well now after learning how to play....he loves it and that's all he played this morning when I was there to help with breakfast! He also has a best friend named Joe in his class, now that the year is over!
Gotta stop here for now but stayed tuned for today's event of horseback riding!! I conquered my fears and did it! Pictures coming up!
